Educreations Interactive Whiteboard

Educreations turns your iPad into a recordable whiteboard.  Creating a great video tutorial is as simple as touching, tapping, and talking.  Some of Educreations app’s features are: record and play your voice, handwriting and drawings; draw in 10 colors of incredibly realistic digital ink; add text to any page; add photos from the iPad camera, Photo albums, Dropbox or the Web; animate images by dragging them around while recording; create whiteboard pages; easily erase drawing mistakes and unlimited undo and redo; and share your lessons via email, Facebook, Twitter or around the world on Educreations.com.

You can teach anything by: helping students with homework by working through an example problem, putting your lessons on the web so students can watch them before and after class, tutoring someone from afar, showcasing your video tutorials on educreations.com and share your knowledge with the world.

My Pictures Talk

A product of the Grembe Company, My Pictures Talk is described as a video modeling tool.  With the capability to add text and voice to pictures, the app has many other uses.   “Talking” pictures can be used, for example, to tell stories, demonstrate how to perform a task, create a multi-media social story, and create a visual schedule.   Use the video capabilities of your iPhone 3GS and 4, the iPod Touch 4th generation, or iPad to add personalized video clips to the stories that you create.

Show Me

Show Me is described as a tool to “learn and teach anything”.   A short video on Richard Byrne’s Free Technology for Educator’s site shows the app in action.  This app allows you to create what is essentially a screencast, allowing you to create lessons with your iPad and show them online.   You can access other reviews and suggestions for educational applications from the developer’s webpage.
