Verbally

Verbally is an augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) app for the iPad.   There are three keyboard layouts that allow the user to type in messages, as well as a core words grid, core phrases grid, and word prediction capabilities.  The app has the choice of either a male or female voice.   A nice iPad screenshot of this app can be found on its iTunes page.  The video below provides a more comprehensive description of the app.

Requirements: Compatible with iPad. Requires iOS 3.2 or later

    Lorrie Corry posted the following comment about this app on the Quality Indicators for Asstive Technology (QIAT) listserv: “My favorite app for iPad so far…..’Verbally” has ample sized keys and what appears to be a good word prediction program built into it. The speech is also clear and enjoyable to listen to.”
