ArtikPix
The developers of ArtikPix, one of whom is a Speech and Language Pathologist, describe their app as a fun way to receive high quality speech practice. As suggested by the title, the focus is on speech articulation. Decks of cards are organized by speech sounds. After selecting a card, users can record themselves speaking the word. Points are accumulated for correct responses. Watch a short video to see this app in action.
Requirements: Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Requires iOS 3.2 or later

Thumbs up! Easy to use, the kids like the games. Can select the sound and the position of the word, can not do that in pocket slp.

We have it and the speech therapists really like it, so do the students since it gives them immediate feedback.

I have used Artik Pix. The novelty of using the iPad was great for the client but once the “cool factor” wore away he soon realized that it was essentially an articulation drill. My client did enjoy the ability to record and play back his speech.

I really like ArtikPix (full copy). And I bought it at the earlier price (in other words, it was more expensive!). And what is especially nice, the authors have not forgotton about the app, but have continued to make improvements, such as adding a sentence level. I can add many students and it keeps data on each student. I would definitely recommend ArtikPix for an articulation app.

My students enjoy using it. I like it because I don’t have to dig out cards with multiple sounds. It is very easy to use.
