Major Programs at the Rural Institute
This program's mission is to share knowledge, foster skills, and encourage attitudes that promote inclusion as a core component of excellence in early childhood. This is accomplished by expanding child care options for children with disabilities, provide training and technical assistance for child care providers and other early childhood professionals, and seeking to improve the quality of the child care experience for all children.
This project is focused on increasing the capacity of service providers, educators, and families to support infants, young children, students, and youth who are deaf-blind. Project staff provide information, professional development, consultation, and technical assistance services to those involved with individuals on the state’s census of individuals who are deaf-blind.
The goal of this program is to assess, monitor, improve and maintain the health of Montanans with disabilities through a strategic program that reduces secondary conditions by enhancing individuals' capacity to manage their own health and by developing supportive community environments.
