| Overview of Part C Services
|
Lead Agency is Department of Health, Family Infant/Toddler Program. Mostly contract with community non-profit programs to provide the full array of early intervention services. Programs are responsible for providing or arranging services for the 16 services listed in IDEA. |
| Public Awareness and Child Find Activites
|
- We do public awareness and child find on two levels, do state level and contract with community programs for the local level. Funnel Part C money to community programs for public awareness.

| Public Awareness and Child Find Activites believed to be most effective
|
- Translate all materials into Spanish. Also are planning to translate some materials into Navajo on audio tape since most of the Native American languages are oral languages.
- Brochures, developmental wheels, any items that can be disseminated at local referral sources

| Concerns regarding finding more children
|
- Cost-effectiveness, it is hard to measure what strategies bring in most referrals.
- Manpower is always a concern.
